The Honorable Governor Eddie Calvo had presented the Governor’s Award of Recognition to Pacific Islands Club Guam for its recent donation of furniture and fixtures to Guam Housing Corporation. Accepting the award on behalf of PIC Guam was Executive Director Ben Ferguson. Items consisting of beds, tables, chairs, lamps, televisions and linens have been designated to the 5 Emergency Housing units with GHC and are already being put to great use by occupants.

GHC had designated these 5 units in efforts to assist individuals seeking emergency shelter due to homelessness or disaster. GHC President Martin Benavente, had recognized that families occupying the units were in need of household items. It was then that GHC had reached out to various organizations including PIC Guam for donations.

Guam Housing Corporation would like to recognize and say “Dangkulo Na Si Yu’us Ma’ase” to the Management and Staff of PIC for its generous contribution for a worthy cause.
